Breast Cancer Homeopathy

Al Gray - Thursday, September 02, 2010
Breast cancer homeopathy is not new. Homeopathy has been practiced for centuries. Ancient people benefited greatly from homeopathy and since many people are now turning to the basics, homeopathy is a good idea. In fact, actress Suzanne Somers was able to survive breast cancer through the use of holistic medicine and alternative therapy.

Dose-effect study of Gelsemium sempervirens in high dilutions on anxiety-related responses in mice

Al Gray - Thursday, August 26, 2010
Laboratory research study from the journal Psychopharmacology using mice to test various potencies of Gelsemium on anxiety levels in lab conditions.  The overall pattern of results provides evidence that Gelsemium sempervirens acts on the emotional reactivity of mice, and that its anxiolytic-like effects are apparent, with a non-linear relationship, even at high dilutions.

Characteristics of cancer patients using homeopathy compared with those in conventional care: a cross-sectional study

Al Gray - Thursday, August 26, 2010
Cross-sectional study published in the prestigious journal the Annals of Oncology comparing the characteristics of cancer patients using homeopathy compared with those in conventional care. Homeopathic treatment is sought by cancer patients at a different phase during the course of the disease, which has particular implications for research. However, expectancies toward the benefit of the treatment as well as QoL data are similar.

Nobel laureate gives homeopathy a boost

Al Gray - Thursday, August 26, 2010

French virologist Luc Montagnier stunned his colleagues at a prestigious international conference when he presented a new method for detecting viral infections that bore close parallels to the basic tenets of homeopathy. Montagnier suggested water could retain such properties even after the original solutions were massively diluted, to the point where the original DNA had effectively vanished. In this way, he suggested, water could retain the "memory" of substances with which it had been in contact -- and doctors could use the emissions to detect disease.

Homeopathy for Sports and Exercise Injuries, How homeopathy works

Al Gray - Thursday, July 08, 2010

Homeopathic medicines, (often accused of being a placebo response) demonstrate an efficacy rate as high as 80 to 90 percent in large-outcome studies—well beyond the 30 percent observed from placebo. Homeopathy is no more a placebo effect than conventional medicine for the following reasons

Efficacy of a potentized homoeopathic drug (Arsenicum Album-30) in reducing genotoxic effects produced by arsenic trioxide in mice: comparative studies of pre-, post- and combined pre- and post-oral administration and comparative efficacy of two microdose

Al Gray - Thursday, July 08, 2010

From Datta, et al, the authors found that pre and post-feeding of homeopathically prepared Arsenicum Album 30C and 200C to mice exposed to arsenic trioxide reduced the genotoxic effects (chromosome aberrations, micronucleated erythrocytes and sperm head anomaly) of arsenic when compared to controls. Does Homeopathy Work?

A study of the effect of decimal and centesimal dilutions of arsenic on the retention and mobilization of arsenic in the rat.

Al Gray - Thursday, July 08, 2010

From Cazin, et al, 6 groups of 30 mice given radio-labelled arsenic were treated with various homeopathic potencies of arsenic and the level of retention compared to controls. All homeopathic potencies of arsenic were found to have a greater effect on arsenic elimination than controls.

Evaluation of isopathic treatment of Salmonella enteritidis in poultry.

Al Gray - Thursday, July 08, 2010

On the treatment of Salmonella infection in poultry, Berchieri et al found that when 180 one day old chicks were given either an active homeopathic medicine or control and then challenged with a culture of salmonella. “Birds receiving active treatment were less likely to grow the strain of Salmonella from cloacal swabs compared to control.”
